Blackleigh Farm is committed to being as green and environmentally friendly as possible always making changes and adapting where possible to create a better and greener environment for everyone to enjoy.
Recycling
We are passionate about recycling at Blackleigh Farm and make it very easy for our guests to be as environmentally friendly as possible while staying with us on holiday. We compost all food waste and ash which returns into the land. We have designated bins for glass,, cans, paper and cardboard and another bin for plastics such as crisp packets, carrier bags and other bag type plastics; these plastics are taken to the local Reclaim Center. We have very minimal waste that goes into landfill.
Supporting the environment
All of our cleaning products are ethically sourced and eco friendly.
There are no plug sockets in the Domes.
We run both Domes totally off grid we use solar panels which charge our 12v batterys to allow us LED Lights,

Fridge
We harvest rainwater for watering our plants, drinking water for our livestock.
Woodland & Hedgerows
Over the next few years we aim to plant a variety of trees, We maintain our hedgerows in a way that encourages all kinds of wildlife and nesting birds, and by maintaining good hedgerow management, this encourages a number of different wildlife.
The wood we provide for our outdoor hot tub and log burning fire is seasoned wood from windfall trees sourced within our woodland areas.
