Set on the top of a ridge with buzzards and red kites soaring in the sky, the view from Wheatsheaf Farm Shepherd's hut is hard to beat. Look out accross the green fields Dorset towards the Yeo valley one way, then turn to see Corton Ridge and acres of fields and hills stretching accross Somerset with Glastonbury Tor discerbable far off horizon. Surrounded by woodland on one side, full of wild life and with bluebells aplenty in the spring, and fields with horses grazing peacefully on the other side, you will feel the tranqulity of nature. Bathe outside in the luxurious outdoor copper bath whilst watching the wildlife and absorbing the view which never ceases to amaze. With multiple walks to choose from, including Cadbury castle, said to be linked to the legend of King Arthur, part of the Monarchs Way and Corton ridge there is plenty to keep you busy. Nearby amenities include the award winning pub The Queen's Arms, and the beautiful market town of Sherborne with antique shops, local markets (Thursdays and Saturdays) and much more. The campsite comes with an outdoor gas BBQ and seating area is as well as a deck and outdoor seating next to the hut. Inside you will finde all the extra amenities to make your stay comfortable, from a cosy double bed, storage underneath for luggage, a fridge 2 ring induction hob, and microwave oven, shower, wi-fi, and a small log burner.
