I am a local resident who frequently walks past this proposed glampsite and have a number of concerns about the application and its suitability as an exempted site under the Woodland Champions Club rules. 1. Access/Increased traffic - the proposed site is approximately 1km from the nearest B road. From there, access is via small country lanes, and the immediate approach to the site is on a very narrow steep lane with blind bends and no passing places. These lanes are well used by walkers, cyclists and horse riders and are not suited for the additional traffic a glampsite would attract. Aside from the additional traffic, there are serious safety considerations for the non-vehicular road users. 2. Noise and visual impact - the proposed site is on a hillside which means noise easily travels along and down the valley. With potentially up to 15 glamping units occupied at any time, the additional noise in this peaceful rural location would be unacceptable. Further, as the site is on the hillside, it is visible for some distance around. Already the site has a number of large vehicles (presumably glamping pods to be?) stationed in the field which can be seen for over a mile away. In no way are these in keeping with this attractive rural location. I do not believe the applicants proposal to plant an apple orchard and native trees will provide adequate screening in the short to medium term. 3. The proposed site is an agricultural paddock. A grass field. There are minimal existing services at this site. There is no mains drainage in the area and the existing water supply is poor as has been pointed out in the submissions of other neighbours. Amongst the facilities listed in the Application are sauna, toilet, shower and outdoor bathing facilities. It seems that such a glampsite would require significant infrastructure development which is far from in keeping with the aims of the Woodland Champions Club. In summary, for the reasons stated, I object to this application to obtain an exemption from planning under the umbrella of the Woodland Champions Club.

I manage the surrounding Estate to this paddock and we supply the water to the paddock on a private supply as we do to some residents in the surrounding area. The supply to the paddock was only ever put in to be used for a trough for livestock and will not cope with excessive use due to the pressure being poor. Excessive use on any part of this private supply causes the water pressure to drop resulting in others on the supply only having a trickle of water or none at all. Therefore the private water supply will not support a Glamping Site and another water source will need to be used. At no point has the owner of the paddock approached us to discuss this as we would have told them what I have mentioned above and we have been told no water was being used in the paddock, this is obviously not the case. Please get in touch with me if you would like to meet on site or discuss this further.

We are writing to confirm our objections to the proposed Glamping site at Elysian Fields, Prospidnick, TR13 0RY for the following reasons; Our garden butts onto the second entrance to the field and our house is less than 100 meters away. Parts of the site are in our line of vision and there are already an assortment of partially disassembled vehicles littering the field. At the moment there is a fast food trailer right in the middle of the field, clearly visible from our house. We do not want a procession of cars and people crossing the field less than 100 meters from our home. There will also be an increase in noise levels, further spoiling our enjoyment of our home and this peaceful area. Access is very poor. The lane is single track with no passing places. It is very difficult to reverse back down the hill owing to the steep slope and tight corners. Furthermore it is used constantly by horse riders, cyclists and locals walking thereby increasing the danger to them from increased traffic. Several homes in the hamlet, including Elysian Fields have their water supplied by Willis Farms. The pressure is already poor and the increased use from Glamping will diminish the supply even further. Furthermore some of us have our own water supply and are concerned about drainage and sewerage polluting the water we rely on. Prospidnick is only a small hamlet and Elysian Fields is surrounded by homes, all within a few meters. We will all be negatively affected by the close proximity of this proposal. Campsites within the local area, of which there are several, are not so surrounded by dwellings and therefore less impactful on locals. This part of Cornwall already suffers from the impact of mass tourism and Elysian Fields is not suitable for this proposal and the application should be rejected. If you require any further information please do not hesitate to contact me. Yours sincerely David Goodrich
